Inlet Cleaning on I-59 NB, in Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM – On Saturday, August 26, weather permitting, between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will clean the Inlets on the Central Business District (CBD) Bridge (I-59 NB) from the south end of the CBD Bridge to Carraway Blvd. Exit (Exit 126-A). This work will require the outside (right) lane to be closed at various times throughout the day.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Maintenance Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
