Planned Ramp Closure to Carraway Blvd. from I-59/20 SB, in Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM – Weather permitting, Monday, February 12th at 11 p.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the ramp to Carraway Blvd. (Hwy 31 South/Hwy 280 East) from I-59/20 southbound. This ramp closure will be necessary to pour a concrete beam above the interstate.
The ramp will re-open at 5 a.m., Tuesday.
The lane closure will require the use of Law Enforcement Officers.
A reduced speed limit of 45 mph is in effect throughout the work zone. Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
