BIRMINGHAM– As construction continues in downtown Birmingham for Interstate Improvements, the Alabama Department of Transportation says drivers should expect delays.

The following closures will take place weather permitting as follows:

• 19^th Street North from Rev. Abraham Woods to 10^th Street will be closed, Thursday, March 5^th for approximately one month for Culvert Installation.
• 16^th Street between Rev. Abraham Woods and 10^th Avenue North will be closed Monday, March 5^th thru Thursday, March 12^th from 12 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. to install Drainage.
