I-59/20 Bridge Project Update

Emergency Pavement Repairs on I-59/20 N, in Birmingham
Birmingham – Beginning today, January 4th, the Alabama Department of Transportation will perform Emergency Pavement Repairs as follows:
- At 2:00 p.m. the inside (left) two (2) lanes of I-59/20 north will be closed between the 20th St/Ensley Avenue Exit (Exit 120) and the Arkadelphia Road/US-78 Exit (Exit 123).
- All travel lanes will be re-opened no later than 5 a.m., Tuesday, January 5th.
Motorists are urged to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Maintenance Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
