BIRMINGHAM– As construction continues in downtown Birmingham for Interstate Improvements, the Alabama Department of Transportation says drivers should expect delays.

Weather permitting, the following closures will take place as follows:

  • Double lane closures on I-59 northbound between Exit 126 A and Exit 126 B, March 4th from 7 p.m. until 4 a.m. Also Exit 126 B (I-59 NB off to 31st Street) will be closed during this same period.   The closure is necessary to perform Spall repairs.
