BIRMINGHAM– As construction continues in downtown Birmingham for Interstate Improvements, the Alabama Department of Transportation says drivers should expect delays.

The following closures will take place weather permitting:

• 19^th Street North from Rev. Abraham Woods to 10^th Street will be closed Thursday, March 26^th through Thursday, April 2^nd from 12 a.m. until 11: 59 p.m. for culvert installation.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is maintaining essential services, such as road and bridge maintenance and construction, during the continuation of a national effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The following closures will take place weather permitting:

• The I-59 southbound off ramp to Carraway Blvd./ Red Mountain Expressway southbound ramp will be closed Tuesday, March 24^th through Thursday, March 26^th between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for painting operations.
