BIRMINGHAM– As construction continues in downtown Birmingham for Interstate Improvements, the Alabama Department of Transportation says drivers should expect delays.

The following closures will take place weather permitting:

• The I-59 southbound off ramp to Carraway Blvd./ Red Mountain Expressway southbound ramp will be closed Tuesday, March 24^th through Thursday, March 26^th between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for painting operations.

BIRMINGHAM– As construction continues in downtown Birmingham for Interstate Improvements, the Alabama Department of Transportation says drivers should expect delays.

The following closures will take place weather permitting as follows:

• The Red Mountain Expressway northbound ramp to I-59/20 North and I-20 East towards the Shuttlesworth International Airport will be closed Wednesday, March 25^th at 9 p.m. thru 7 a.m., Monday, March 30^th  to complete the construction of the bridge ramp.
• The detour route will be 1^st Avenue North and Caraway Blvd.
