BIRMINGHAM– As construction continues in downtown Birmingham for Interstate Improvements, the Alabama Department of Transportation says drivers should expect delays.

The following closures will take place weather permitting as follows:

• 19^th Street N from Rev. Abraham Woods Blvd. to 10^th Street will be closed Thursday, January 30^th for approximately two months for culvert installation.
• 22^nd Street N between Rev. Abraham Woods Blvd. and Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. will be closed Sunday, February 9^th through Thursday, February 13^th from 6 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. for crane demobilization.
