BIRMINGHAM– As construction continues in downtown Birmingham for Interstate Improvements, the Alabama Department of Transportation says drivers should expect delays.

The following closures will take place weather permitting:

• 22^nd Street N will close Wednesday, June 24^th at 5 a.m. to begin the installation of a culvert underneath the street between Rev. Abraham Woods and Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. This closure is expected to last for approximately one month.
